Parallel constructions

Parallel structures intensify the bond between two of a sentence's joined parts and make the sentence easier to read. Any conjunction is a red flag for attending to parallel structure.

Although few realize it, Americans are generally able to see the files kept on them, to correct mistakes, to block disclosure (sometimes, at least) and to learn where information has gone.
