ClearTips: Riveting reports
Adjust length and balance
Think again about your target audience. How much do your
readers really want, or need, to read? Look for duplication of information
across sections, for long explanations of concepts that your readers may
already know, and for tangents that sidetrack your argument. If you have
a highly detailed or technical section, consider making it an appendix
at the end of your report. If you cut or combine sections, you may need
to adjust the balance of your report. Try to keep the sections roughly
similar in length.
